Chapter 10 - Kite Runner
Recently in Kite Runner after Ali and Hassan left Baba, Baba and Amir fled from Kabul. On the way to Pakistan they faced different life or death situations. One time they got they stopped by Russian officers, Baba refused to let the 18 year old girl riding with them leave with one of the officers. One of the officers threatened to kill Baba, but he still refuses to let her go. Although the officer has a gun to his head. Luckily Baba ends up surviving because of the older, more wiser officer pulls the younger officer out of the dispute. For some reason after Amir thinks to himself, "Why does Baba always have to be the hero?" I hope that later in the book I will discover why this so.
The Red Bouy
When I was about five or six years old, my brother, my Dad and I would go out fishing right outside of the Chatham Lights in the ocean. Usually we would catch 30 - 36 inch striped bass, blue fish and even the annoying sand shark. I was probably only about four feet tall and little did I know that today was going to be my lucky day.
I began casting regularly into the water when all of a sudden I got a bite, and right after I set my hook. The line on my reel began unravelling from the reel at a crazy speed. After 20 minutes of hard arm-crunching labor, my dad grabbed the fish from the water on the side of the boat. And then we measured it. The fish was a whopping nine inches, 3' 3''. So far in my striped bass fishing career, this is my biggest one yet and the third in my family ranks between my brother, my father, my sister and I.

My dreams for summer
For this summer to be as fun as the other summers spent at the cape there are many things i would like to do. One thing which i love to do is go snorkeling. Although you may think that there is nothing to see in cape cod there is. You can see flounder, crabs, and occasionally go through a huge school of Minos. I would also like to get out fishing for blues, stripe bass, and tuna. Soccer is another great thing which I play all the time with my brother and my neighbors. If I am able to do all of these things my summer will be fantastic.

Today i got a new book called Fatal Forecast by Michael J. Tougias. This book is about two different lobster boats which are going crabbing about 130 miles off the coast Massachusetts. It is the fall and the two lobster boats are going out for a regular trip. What not only the fishermen dont know along with the Coast Guard in their departing area in Massachusetts is that there is a dangous storm in the area there are heading which is Georges Bank. The storm gets closer to the boats every passing second.

Two Men in Utah
Growing up, I have had many memorable experiences but here is one that has stood out the most. About six months ago, I had been invited to go skiing in Utah with my Friend Drew. We had been there a few days already, and we had just gotten back to the hotel after a full day of skiing. We decided to go out sledding on a hill about one hundred yards from the hotel. As we were walking to the hill, there were two men watching us. We almost passed them when they stoped us. They began saying things like, "We're new here and trying to make some new Friends," and " Where are you guys going? We want to go." At this point we are extremely weirded out by these guys but stupidly began walking. I then paused and thought for a moment what possibly could happen and began to get scared. I quickly stopped and said, "Oh shoot I forgot my camera inside but you guys should stay here and we'll be out in a minute." As we got out of their sight we sprinted to our room and explained the story to Drew's mom. She told us to stay in for the night, and that everything will be fine. I still wonder what would if we had happened if we had gone with the men over to the hill.

My favorite teacher
My favorite teacher from my entire school career has been Ms. Carpenter. Ms. Carpenter is my soanish teacher. She is extremely nice and we even skiied together on the school trip to Mont. Tremblant. SHe is a really young teacher so she rarely gets mad at us. She always jokes around with us in class but she still gets her job done.

My job search
Since March this year I had began looking for a job which I would be able to do for the summer of 2008. The restaurants which I had filled out an application for in the Spring turned me down as the summer neared. I then began biking all around town for another bus boying type job but I was either told they were full for the year or asked me to fill out an application. For the resturants that I filled out an application for I would trey to return back to them to ask about the job but they continued to tell me to come back the next day and then they they would be able to tell me wether or not I had the job. To this day i still have no job but the search for a job still continues.
